Day 4: which is the most important environmental issue of the day based on your research ? What should we do as a result of this information?
I think the most important environmental issue of the day is nuclear power. Nuclear power contaminates places in the world making them unhabitable, creating disasters where babys are born deformed. In comparison into the other power sources you eventually get sick, baby's are born sick because of nuclear power. Not only that but, "if reactors numbers 3 and 4 go up than half of the USA will have to evacuate". This means that 157,561,984 of the people on our planet would have to evacuate. The problem with this is that where would all of these people go? I think we should stop using nuclear in all because, this is creating uninhabitable lands, disasters and possibly 157,561,984 without homes.

DAY: 3 Nuclear VS. Foreign and Domestic oil
Which one is worst nuclear or foreign and domestic oil? In my opinion nuclear is the worst way to power the planet. I say this because, --> “if reactors numbers 3 and 4 goes up, than half of the USA will have to be evacuated.” I found this very shocking because, numbers are expected to go up. Therefor half of U.S will have to evacuate, but where will we all go? Something else that I found very shocking is: “people were told to leave for a couple of days but, haven’t returned for 20 years”. This shocked me because, this means that Chernobyl has destroyed many peoples home that never were able to go back. A fact that I found very alarming was: “Places that are 15-20 kilometers away are uninhabitable”. This is very alarming because, this means even the surrounding areas are so badly contaminated that they are uninhabitable. This power source affects my world because if numbers go up, half of the world may need to evacuate. But in comparison --> “The U.S states consumed 18.8 million barrels of petroleum per day during 2011, making U.S the worlds largest petroleum consumer.” This was very alarming to me because, this means the U.S is the largest consumer of petroleum that is a natural flammable liquid. Meaning this liquid can potentially blow up at anytime because it is flammable. Also, nuclear creates many wars. Domestic oil has corexit which is 4 times more toxic than the chemicals its self. Meaning what there using to clean up the oil slicks are 4 times worse than the actual slick itself. But, nuclear is way worst. The reason why nuclear is worst because nuclear destroys lands therefor there would be no wars and corexit would not exist because, there would be not water, because there is no land. Not only that but after the disaster many baby's were born deformed. Meaning that these baby's didn't get sick there were born sick. Unlike nuclear and domestic oil where you can eventually get sick theses baby's were born sick.
